August 8th

Today was Emma's last day of preschool.  I didn't really think about it too much, but when I picked her up from there for the last time today it was really emotional.  She will be starting Kindergarten on September 4th and I can tell she is feeling a little anxious even though she has been going to the "big school" all summer with her classmates and she will know over half of the kids in her homeroom.  I know it will still be a big change for her despite so much familiarity.  We have been so fortunate to give her a good start and I'm sure she will continue to thrive in her new surroundings.  For now though, she can just relax and have fun as we head off tomorrow for our Texas vacation.  My mom, Emma and I will be leaving in the morning and we will be gone for 9 days.  We are looking forward to our adventure!
