We had Emma's 6th birthday party this past Sunday.  I wasn't sure if I could pull it off given that I had worked 12 straight days, but it turned out to be ok.  Emma wanted a My Little Pony party at our swim club so we worked out the details and sent out the invitations.  This year I wasn't able to make a bunch of stuff like I normally do, but I did make some rainbow cookies per Emma's request.  They turned out pretty cute!  I didn't make cupcakes this year and instead I ordered a cupcake cake and gave the designer a picture of Rainbow Dash (one of the My Little Pony characters).  I thought the cake turned out fantastic :-) Every year I talk about hiring a photographer because it's so hard to take pictures while you're hosting a party, but it seems so frivolous so I haven't done it yet.  I am really disappointed that I didn't take more pictures this year.  We had friends and family there to help us celebrate, but unfortunately most of them didn't make it into the pictures.  I am determined to do a better job of taking pictures next year.
