Last week Emma attended gymnastics camp with one of her friends.  It was a great week for her and it culminated in an "Olympics" performance on Friday afternoon.  It was really cute and Emma did a great job!  All of the kids got a gold medal which was definitely a highlight for her.  After her performance we packed up and headed down to Anaheim for the weekend.  I spotted a hotel a while ago that has a small and cute water park down there and it's also across the street from Disneyland.  I knew we wouldn't be going to the park (much too hot and crowded right now), but I wanted to take Emma to the hotel so she could enjoy the pool and water park.  Emma loves hotels as much as I do and I thought it would be a fun weekend vacation. 

We had a really good time hanging out around the hotel.  The water park was neat and I think it was the perfect size for her age.  It was really fun to spend time with her there.  It was nice to just play the day by ear and not have any commitments that we had to meet.  I can certainly foresee doing this again.  There's a couple of more hotels around town that have fun waterslides that I think Emma would enjoy  :-)
