Last Tuesday we left for our 7 night vacation in Maui.  We began our travel day with a 5 hour flight to Honolulu, then had a short layover followed by a 30 minute flight to Maui.  It would have been so nice to fly directly to Maui, but we were traveling with 2 free plane tickets so our options were limited.  Emma was a great traveler all day!  There is a three hour time difference between LA and Maui so we ended up at the resort in the late afternoon.  We stayed at the Westin timeshare (this is separate from the Westin Hotel) and it was very nice.  Since we were going to be there for a week, I really wanted to stay somewhere that had a kitchen so we didn't have to eat out for every meal.  Our room was perfect!  I really loved staying at the Westin.  There are a few pools on the Westin property and Emma was super excited to see the "pirate pool" as she checked out the view from our balcony.  We ate a quick dinner and then Emma changed into her bathing suit and we headed downstairs to the pool.  The pirate pool definitely met all of her expectations!
