April 7th

Last night I couldn't sleep so I mapped out in my head a full morning of errands for us after gymnastics class was over.  Emma had other plans though.  She took me by surprise when she asked to go see the Easter bunny.  Of course this would not have been a big deal if she hadn't decided to wait until the day before Easter and I knew the line would be super long.  I could have told her no, but it seemed like such a simple request so I agreed after she assured me we would not have a repeat of the Santa incident where she changed her mind at the VERY last second after we had driven forever to see him and stood in an interminably long line.  Anyway, she repeated her request after gymnastics class so we set off to find the bunny at a local outdoor mall area.  The story is much too long, but let's just say that I totally gave myself a "mom of the day" award after finally fulfilling her request this afternoon.  I will say that we started our adventure at 10:15am and we did not get home until 2pm.  It was quite a morning and I did not complete one single errand.  However, Emma did get to meet the Easter Bunny and she is already asking to go back again next year.
