April 12th

Emma and I are in Austin to visit my dad and Peggy for a few days. She always enjoys flying on an airplane and is very well behaved and an excellent traveler.

This afternoon my dad took us to Little Buckaroo Ranch, which is about 20 minutes south of Austin. They have ponies and other farm animals that the children get to pet and feed (and ride the ponies). My dad took Emma about a year-and-a-half ago and she really enjoyed it. One of the nice things about it is that we were the only ones there, so all of the attention was on Emma. She really enjoyed it.

She also few a new butterfly kite that my dad bought for her. This is her first kite, so it was a bit of a learning curve.

Emma's aunt, Laura, is flying in tonight from Atlanta to spend the weekend with us, so we are looking forward to that!
