November 25th

On Friday afternoon we packed up our car and headed to Santa Monica for the night.  Chris found a coupon for a new hotel by the Santa Monica pier and so we decided to stay there for the night which essentially combined 2 of Emma's favorite things - the beach and a hotel.

On Friday night we ate dinner by the pier and then walked over to check out the ferris wheel.  She was pretty adamant that she wanted to ride the ferris wheel despite the fact it was quite tall so Chris bought us tickets and we waited in line.  Emma and I had never been on a ferris wheel before.  Let's just say that it will probably be my last time :-)  Emma and Chris enjoyed it though and it was neat to see the city lights.  We went back to our hotel room and watched Emma play/jump/dance until it was time to go to bed.  The next day we headed back to the beach so that Emma could play in the waves before it was time to go home.
