Tucson trip

We returned last night from a trip to see our friends, the Jouberts, in Tucson. Meredith has been a very special friend of mine since our days at UT in the mid-90s. We were both Sociology majors and were both officers in the Sociology honors club, Alpha Kappa Delta. Meredith has lived in Tucson for the past four years with her husband, Stephane, and four children, Emi, Tess, Gus and Molly. This was the first time that we've been able to make the trip out to see them, and we're so glad that we did.

I haven't been to Tucson for years, so it was really neat to see the beautiful desert terrain. We went to Sabino Canyon on Friday and took the tram up to the top. That afternoon we went to the Sonora Desert Museum, which was fascinating. We walked around and saw different birds and animals, which was really neat.

The kids got along and played together really well. We'll definitely be spending more time with the Jouberts as Emma gets older!

PS - The white stuff on Emma's face is sunscreen.
