July 30th cont.

After a short two hour trip, we were in Denver and quickly found our hotel after stopping to eat lunch. Chris reserved a room in a cool hotel in the downtown area. I was chatting with the concierge fellow while Chris was checking in and he offered to have a goldfish sent up to our room so Emma could have a pet during her stay. I thought he was pulling my leg, but sure enough a goldfish showed up on our doorstep. I said a quick prayer that he would live through the night because Emma has not encountered a loss of life yet and I was not up for the discussion.

We went to a GREAT dinner and then called it a night. The next day we drove over to Boulder while Emma napped in her car seat. We also stopped at a fantastic sandwich place again (we went there on our first day as well before we got on the road to Breckenridge) and had an amazing lunch. I think they serve probably the best sandwich I have ever had. Our flight home was uneventful which is the best kind. It was a great trip!
