Pirate's Beach is a great neighborhood and it's about 8 miles or so outside of the main Galveston area. Below are a few pictures of the neighborhood and the cute house my mom rented for all of us.

On a completely separate note, Emma has been asking me ALL week to buy or make her gingerbread so that she can make a gingerbread house. I bought a little kit last Christmas so she could make a house and I guess it made an impression on her. I was hoping she would forget about it since it was incredibly messy, I couldn't get the roof to stay on, it was incredibly messy, I didn't know what to do with it once she finished decorating it and it was incredibly messy. I told her I would think about it :-)
