April 12th

I have noticed a significant increase in the number of grey hairs on my head since Emma has started riding a bicycle. First, I had no idea you could tip over on a bike with training wheels. I learned that it was possible pretty quickly once Emma took a turn too fast and slowly fell over. She didn't hesitate in climbing back on though and trying again. I sound like a broken record as we walk/ride through our neighborhood as I constantly tell her to watch the driveways in case a car is backing out. She is getting better about looking down a driveway before crossing its' path, however, she will often stop right in the middle or even past the driveway and then look to see if a car is coming. Good grief. I remember my brother being so adamant with my nephews when they would do the same thing and now I definitely get it. My brother would repeatedly tell his boys to watch for cars and now I find myself in his shoes.

Chris did a great job picking out a cute bike for Emma. I love it, despite damage it is doing to my hair.

She is becoming such a big girl. But it can be so nerve-wracking for us. (love the Hanna dress, almost bought the same)
