I dusted off my sewing machine again and made a travel felt play mat for Emma this weekend. The fabric is cute and I like that it's enclosed with a tab of velcro so it's easy for Emma to open it by herself plus I made a couple of storage pockets on the side so she can stuff her animals back in there when she's done with them. I had no idea it would be so hard to cut animals out of felt. I definitely won't be leaving my day job any time soon. Emma likes it though and that's all that matters :-)

We had a fun weekend full of our usual activities and errands. I took Emma to see a local production of Cinderella. It was an interactive musical and they encouraged participation from all of the kids throughout the show. Emma enjoyed it until the stepsisters started being mean to Cinderella. She kept telling them that they were "not being very nice" in a VERY loud voice. I love her sweet spirit.
