June 15th

Chris had his first Father's Day today! As one of her gifts, Emma decided to sleep in until almost 8am. We had a fairly low key weekend and got caught up on stuff around the house. Emma and I walked to the park a few times and enjoyed an early morning soccer game. We didn't know any of the kids playing, but that didn't stop her from cheering everyone on! Here are some notes about the pictures:

1 - Emma's oldest cousin, Luke, invited us to his birthday party (he turned 6 years old!). It was a super cute pirate-themed party and Emma quickly got into character for it.
2 - If anyone needs cabinets, drawers, etc... cleaned out, then Emma is the girl for you! Emma loves to find an open cabinet or drawer and then quickly go about cleaning it out. She particularly likes sugar packets, ziploc bags and q-tips. She still won't put anything back in the cabinet though, so I'm not sure if we can use this talent to our advantage. She sure does enjoy it though!
3 - The last pictures below were taken by Ben (a great friend and photographer) as a surprise for Father's Day. Unfortunately, Emma was on the verge of getting sick on this particular day and she was not in a smiling mood. Ben managed to get some cute pictures though and we were very thankful for his time!

Emma is off to daycare in the morning. She is now using sippy cups instead of bottles. I guess it won't be too long before she is off to college. She is really growing up fast! She will be 11 months old on Thursday :-)
