May 4th

Emma had a very busy Saturday, after staying home with mommy on Friday. We got up early and drove to Hermosa Beach to meet friends for breakfast, then walked across the street to the beach to take a few pictures. Emma was very interested in putting her hands in the sand.

After the beach, we went down to Los Alamitos and had lunch with another friend, then stopped at Babies R Us on the way back to pick out a baby gate. Shari's mother, Kay, was up visiting Emma's cousins, so we got to see her in the afternoon, then the four of us went out to dinner. Emma was very well behaved all day long!

This morning I installed the baby gate, with help from Emma (as you can see below). Now that she's more mobile, we're beginning the baby proofing process...
