May 18th

It has been a while since our last post, but Emma hasn't let that stop her from growing! I was looking at her earlier today and could hardly believe that this was the same little girl who came into our lives almost 10 months ago. She is so sweet and discovers new things every day. Time can be so funny and I have definitely noticed how fast it can go since Emma has joined our family. She is still crawling everywhere and loves to try and pull herself up on anything and everything. A few notes about the pictures below:

1. Emma attended a baptism last weekend and promptly fell asleep as we were headed into the restaurant for lunch. Isn't that a super cute dress she's wearing?
2. Emma discovered that she can help Daddy vacuum! She loves to tap her thumb on the buttons which then will either increase or decrease the power of the vacuum. She will perform this unsolicited favor at any given time.
3. We were fortunate to spend some time with my mom down in Dana Point. It was so beautiful there and Emma really enjoyed seeing her Gramma.
4. We didn't have anywhere special to go when Emma wore her cute purple dress. We just thought it was a good day to be fancy :-)

Unfortunately Emma has had a tough time lately. She went through a bad teething period last week and now she seems to have a cold. It's hard to watch your little one when they're not feeling well and it is also a struggle for working parents. We hope she is on the mend and we're looking forward to seeing our smiling Peanut again soon!
