April 20th

Well, all I can really say about this weekend is that we made it through :-) Emma started developing a fever on Friday morning and it was over 102 by the afternoon. I know kids get fevers, but it's different when it's YOUR kid and she is so hot that it reminds you of an oven. She kept looking at me with those red eyes and I knew if she could talk she would say "Mom, please fix it". Emma was definitely sick and miserable and it continued on to Saturday. She saw a couple of doctors on Saturday since she still had a fever and was incredibly irritable and seemed to be in pain. To make a long story short and to spare you the details, she is now feeling better and spent today resting at home. We are so thankful to have our Peanut back to her "old" self. She is now 9 months old!

I ordered a special t-shirt for Emma a couple of weeks ago. There's an online store that operates out of Tennessee called The Polka Dot Market. They design custom t-shirts using different patterns, colors, letters, etc... I think we'll have to order Emma another one for her first birthday this summer with a "1" on it :-) As you can see from the pictures below, Emma is on the mend and looks incredibly cute in her new shirt.
