It's so hard for me to believe that Emma will be 8 months old on Wednesday! Chris is now researching baby safety gates since Emma is showing signs that she is almost ready to crawl. If you lay her down on her back, she will most likely turn over to her stomach and push up with her arms. Her little legs then start kicking away as though she were in a swimming pool! Emma is feeling much better now, although we discovered that she has an ear infection. She continues to observe everything around her and is constantly reaching for anything and everything within her grasp (including my hair). Emma loves to play with our blinds if she can get close enough to them. I told her "no" the other day in a very stern mom-like voice. My daughter proceeded to look at me with big wide eyes, then she paused for a few seconds and broke out in a huge grin and giggled. I'm not sure what that says about my discipline efforts, but it's probably not a good sign!
