August 18th

We drove up Highway 1 through Big Sur which was a beautiful route.  We made it to Monterey and settled into our rental house.  The location of the house was perfect, although it ended up being pretty noisy in the late evening/early morning since it was on a busy corner.  We were able to walk to the aquarium and our favorite restaurants though which was really nice.  We went out in search of tide pools and had a great time :-)
