Emma met her first grade teacher today and she will have her first official day of school tomorrow. Her teacher seems really sweet and I think Emma will have a great year. She already knows just about everyone in her class and she is excited for first grade. I thought about talking with Chris to see if we should switch her to public school this year. Private school can be expensive and there are quite a few additional expenses that you don't encounter in public school. However, I am so grateful for the environment that Emma's school has created and watching her run through the campus with confidence helped me realize that she is right where she needs to be. The classroom size is perfect for Emma and the school just feels right for us. I think it's going to be a fantastic year and I'm thankful we can continue to send her to a school that challenges her while providing a setting in which she can thrive.
