November 4th

There is a great theater in Laguna Beach by my mom's house and we have seen some really good shows there.  I noticed that they were having a show based on the Pinkalicious book (it's about a girl who eats too many pink cupcakes) plus a fun pre-show party that included crafts, story time with cupcakes and face painting.  My mom joined us for the show and Emma was really excited to see Pinkalicious.  I was taking Emma around the different craft stations when we decided to enter a contest where we had to guess the number of pink candy pieces in a glass jar.  Emma guessed 20 and I guessed 300 so I combined them and we went on to the dress up area.  Before the show started in the theater, a woman on the stage announced the winner and it was Emma!  I couldn't believe it and I was so happy for her.  She got to walk up on stage in front of everyone and the audience clapped for her.  It was definitely the highlight of her day.  After the show we headed back to my mom's house where Emma swam again before we loaded up the car and left for home.  It was a fun and busy weekend!
