Emma finished up her first full week of junior kindergarten at Pasadena Christian School this week (she only went a few days the previous week after Labor Day). I was pretty nervous about it when I found out there was going to be 24 kids in the class. We have been very fortunate that up until this point there have only been 10 kids at most in her previous classes. The junior kindergarten program has 3 full time teachers and they explained that the kids would be in smaller groups throughout the day. I worried for nothing. Emma loves her school, teachers and her friends. However, her most favorite part by far is Butterball Rocket. He (or she?) is their pet guinea pig and Emma is in love. Inevitably when I ask Emma about her day at school, she talks about Butterball Rocket first and foremost. The best part is that the kids could sign up to take him home over the weekend. Guess who will be coming home with us next Friday afternoon...
We had a really fun and busy day. First we went to gymnastics class. Emma has been going there for a while now and she continues to really enjoy it. Her sweet friend Katharine is in class with her. They have known each other since they were 6 months old. Next, we went to the park. Emma can never say no to a trip to the park :-) After that we went next door for her third swim lesson. She LOVES her lessons and instructor. Then we made a stop at the frozen yogurt place, Michael's and the library. Finally, we drove down to have dinner with my mom and then back home again. It's funny to look at the pictures below and see how many times Emma changed clothes today :-)

So glad that everything is going well for her. I can't wait to meet Butterball Rocket, it not just for that name! :) Emma looks like she is growing either taller or skinnier!
