June 10th

We had a really fun weekend.  First, we went to gymnastics and then we headed down to my mom's house for a pool party on Saturday to celebrate my nephew's birthday and to see my mom's best friend who was visiting from Dallas.  Emma had fun swimming with her baby in the water.  On Sunday I took Emma and one of her friends to a Sesame Street show...in downtown LA...by myself.  It was my first time having her and a friend on my own and I felt twice the amount of responsibility that I usually feel.  We ended up with an extra ticket to the show and so I asked her friend's mom if I could take Katharine with us.  Emma and Katharine are very good friends and they have a lot of similarities.   They used to go to the same school until a couple of months ago, but they still see each other every week for gymnastics class and various birthday parties.  We went to the show and then met Katharine's mom for dinner afterwards.  The girls had a blast!  I can definitely foresee doing this again in the future.  It was so much fun for Emma to have a friend to enjoy the show with.  It was very cute listening to them talk and sing in the backseat together :-)
