May 8th

It was finally time to leave the island and head home.  Our flight left at 10:50am and we had a long layover in Honolulu since they rescheduled our flight.  We boarded our second plane in the afternoon and then had a 40 minute delay on the runway.  We finally landed back in LA at 10:45pm.  Emma was a great traveler and I was so glad since we were all exhausted by that point.  We made it home close to 1am due to a freeway closure.  It was a very long day, but I just felt so thankful that we were able to go on a fantastic vacation.
