Ice Skating

We took Emma ice skating this morning for the second Sunday in an row. As Shari said previously, we had no idea that there was an ice skating rink in Pasadena, though we've lived in the area now for over 10 years.

Emma is extremely adventurous and brave, and she continues to prove over and over again. I was amazed at how articulated she is, even though she held Shari's hand at first, and then used a "walker" (more of a "skater" to me) to skate along by herself. She would stumble every once-in-a-while, but would get right back up and keep going. She was on the ice for over an hour, and when she was finished her hands were freezing cold, yet she never complained.

I chose to sit on the sidelines this time and take photos. As she's proven before, Shari's skating skills are much more developed than mine. Maybe next time I'll give it a try...it has been YEARS since I've been in ice skates!

I think you might have a future Olympian on your hands! I can completely see her becoming a figure skater.
