February 3rd

Emma's school was closed today so we packed up and headed out to see the peacocks at the Los Angeles Arboretum.  It's nice to live so close to it!  The weather was perfect and we really had a good time walking around and checking out the beautiful scenery.

Tomorrow morning we are skipping gymnastics class so that Emma can go check out a school for kindergarten.  We have toured quite a few public, private and charter schools and now have it narrowed down to 3 possibilities which includes 2 public and 1 private school.  Pasadena Christian School is hosting a testing day tomorrow and potential kindergarteners are expected to go for a short development test as part of their admissions process.  I didn't think we would really consider a private school for Emma, but Chris and I really like this particular school a lot.  The public schools we are looking at are ok (in my opinion), but I would be excited for Emma to go to Pasadena Christian School.  I think the facilities and teachers are great and it's just about what I had envisioned for her school.  We still haven't made any final decisions about her school, but I think we have some good options available.
