We were fortunate to be invited to Breckenridge, CO by Mary Jo and John (Chris' godmother and her husband) last month. They primarily live in Austin, however, they spend their summers in Breckenridge where it is much cooler. Mary Jo and John were extremely gracious hosts and we really enjoyed spending a few days with them.

We traveled from LA to Denver and then loaded up in the rental car for the 2 hour drive to Breckenridge. I'm so glad Emma Claire is an awesome traveler and loves airplanes. Colorado is absolutely beautiful. We settled in at John and Mary Jo's house and Emma quickly became acquainted with their sweet dog, Patches. The next day we headed up the mountain in a gondola and Mary Jo treated us to several rides on an alpine slide. I was a little nervous so Emma rode with Chris the first time we went down. It was a blast! We had so much fun and decided to go back the next day so Emma could play in the bounce house and I wanted to ride on the scenic chair lift. The chair lift went VERY high up the mountain, but it was worth it for the view. I can see why Mary Jo and John spend their summers in Colorado!
