Emma's 3rd Birthday Party

I have to admit that I did not take a single picture at Emma's birthday party. Chris did a great job of capturing the day and I'm so glad we have his pictures from Saturday's celebration.

I guess I will always say that I can't believe Emma is __ years old. I will probably always think about the memorable day she was born and how I felt the first night that I held her in my arms as we both attempted to sleep in the hospital. I definitely will continue to remind her that I was 6 days past my due date before the doctor finally decided to induce me and the temperature was well over 100 degrees outside.

Back to the party for now. We had Emma's birthday celebration at Under the Sea which she loves. She was very excited for her big day and she played non-stop the entire time. She did sit at the table so that everyone could sing "Happy Birthday" to her. Of course as soon as it was over she asked to do it again. I briefly wondered if I could ask all of our friends and family to sing it one more time for her :-)

Chris, his dad and my mom all helped quite a bit both before and after the party. We put a lot of thought into Emma's birthday this year since we had to cancel her party last year (she got sick the week of her party and everything had to be canceled). Tomorrow is Emma's actual birthday. I baked cupcakes and will take them to her daycare class for their afternoon snack. I know she will enjoy one more birthday celebration. She really loves to have people sing "Happy Birthday" to her and she especially enjoys blowing out the candles on the cake.

Now I need to start thinking about what we'll plan for next year's party!
