Then there are days like today. Emma's teachers at preschool love her. That's not an exaggeration. They either try to keep her in their classrooms or they try to recruit her. Chris and I are really lucky to have found such a wonderful place for her. One of Emma's favorite teachers told me today that Emma displayed quite a bit of attitude. I have been on the receiving end of this type of behavior on more than one occasion and so I immediately felt somewhat mortified. Yes, Emma Claire is 2 years old. I get that. However, that is not an excuse to have an attitude with teachers. Especially when the teachers are super kind and sweet and often go above and beyond what is expected of them. So, after working all day I came home and made cookies and a card for them and I will keep my fingers crossed that Emma leaves her attitude at the door tomorrow.

Sorry to be smiling at your mortification. It just makes me feel so much better to know that my kids aren't the only ones that can turn from their typically charming and sweet selves into small people with big and bad attitudes. I hope tomorrow is a better day. But from my own experience, I have a feeling this might not be the last time you have to take cookies as a peace offering. :)
