June 4th - Oklahoma trip

First, I wanted to add a note about Chris' post below regarding my "photo-thon". I noticed that lately I wasn't taking as many pictures of Emma because I was either (1) fidgeting with the settings on my camera (2) Emma's hair was messy (3) Her clothes were mis-matched or odd due to a number of different reasons. So, I threw all of that stuff out the window a few weeks ago and put my camera on the automatic setting while also throwing out any ideas I had about being sure Emma's hair was out of her face and her clothes were somewhat clean and coordinated. I took a ton of pictures :-)

Last weekend Emma went on a big trip to Oklahoma and attended her first wedding! You can't fly directly to Tulsa from LA, so we had to connect through Dallas which actually turned out to be ok. My mom, even knowing that it would be a long trip with a toddler, traveled with us! She sure must love her granddaughter. Emma LOVED staying in a hotel room (it was her first time) and she even kept asking me to go back after we were already home. One day I would like to take her to Disneyland and stay at their hotel which I'm sure she would love. Anyway, I don't give Emma enough credit because I was sure she would have a meltdown on a flight or not like the hotel room and ask to go home or talk loudly during the wedding ceremony. I was wrong. After we were leaving the ceremony and headed back to the hotel, I realized that I had only taken pictures of Emma the entire time. I was disappointed so one of my new goals is to take pictures of other people who aren't 2 years old and running around in bare feet despite my protests and begging to please put their shoes back on :-)
