1 - Emma went to Mayfield Park where they have beautiful peacocks walking through the grounds. It is a very serene place filled with trails, ponds and squirrels. Chris' dad showed Emma all of the pretty surroundings.
2 - We had a great time catching up with Peggy and her family (Randy, Olof and Gustaf). Emma also had the opportunity to spend time with her Aunt Lauralyce.
3 - We went to the Giles family ranch which has been in their family for many, many, many years and is a great source of pride. Emma found a new friend who was about a year older than her and they quickly took to each other. It was really sweet to watch them play together.
4 - We picked a nice hot day to ride the train around Zilker Park :-) Chris and his family have done this for many years, but it was the first time for me and Emma. We really enjoyed it! Emma loves trains right now...almost as much as she loves Elmo.
We enjoyed the great food in Austin, stayed in a beautiful house and spent time with family. We're already looking forward to going back next year!
