March 2nd

It has been a few weeks since our last post. Things have been really busy around the Giles household. Shari was out of town for 4 days the week before last, and didn't get home until late on the night of her birthday (the 23rd). Emma and I got to spend some quality time together while Shari was gone, and I learned a new respect for what it means to be a Mom. We were both very happy to have her back. Since then, all 3 of us have been sick with colds (Emma and I) and a sinus infection (Shari). We're ready to be back to normal again!

Emma continues to sit up on her own and is very articulate with her hands and motions. We're still working on getting her to learn to like baby food. We've pretty much given up on vegetables (for now) and have moved on to fruit. Her care giver at day care, Cindy, seems to have had more luck than we have at getting her to eat it, though we're still trying.

Emma is looking forward to spending more time outdoors as the days grow longer (the time changes next weekend) and the weather gets warmer! She loves going to the park, watching the fountain and seeing the cars go by!
